If you’re a creative person, have a lot of time on your hands and would like to take a stab at designing your own website, check out www.dontfeartheinternet.com. It gives you a basic intro in to html, web browsers and CSS. It would also be a great tool if you’re interested in being able to talk to your website developer about what you want and what you need. AND it’s written with humour.

Summer Sweetness
makes 1 cocktail
1 small peach, sliced
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz gin
2 oz gingerale or ginger beer or soda
Muddle the peach—reserving 1 slice for garnish—along with the lime juice.
Add the gin, and fill the shaker with ice.
Shake for 10 seconds then strain into a cocktail glass.
Top with gingerale or soda!

It was a quick trip back in May. A chance to visit friends and see what goes on in the laid back centre of Scottsdale.
Scottsdale… where the doorman has a sign taped to his table “No firearms allowed”.
Scottsdale… where having the tagline, “Day-drinking reinvented”, is ok.
Scottsdale… where “pool party” means 100 strangers, Patron on ice and free cover for the ladies.
Scottsdale… where bad tan lines and super hero costumes go hand in hand.
If you go:
The Mission: Modern Latin Cuisine
Le Grand Orange Grocery: for brunch and gifts, I wanted one of everything.
Spanish Fly: Mexican Beach Club – prepare to stare
Hotel Valley Ho: for the pool party
The Coach House: Scottsdale’s oldest tavern, good company and cheap beer.
Mabels on Main: chiq cocktails
Kazimeirz World Wine Bar: real jazz, great wine

Summer feels like it’s almost here – minus a few degrees. Anybody been to Byron Bay, Australia? In my mind’s eye, it’s perpetual summer. This house for sale in Byron Bay has the inside/outside, light/bright, modern/lush appeal that’s perfect for a summer’s day.

Ok, this is a little nerdy and the video is a little slow, but this is far-out. Say you’ve lost your trusty hammer. No problem, just print one off! Here, the moving parts of a crescent wrench are replicated. A 3D image is sent to a printer where powder and binder come together to create a solid object – in COLOUR!

I’m thinking this must be one of the best jobs out there. A dog photographer? People are great and everything but…
I happened upon Paige’s website yesterday. She is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Denver and London. Love her “about” statement:
I am…
blue jeans & cashmere,
diamonds & bare feet,
grilled cheese sandwiches… with champagne…
See more work on her blog.
